The Alef Kabbala Group (31 January 2012, 7 Shevat) studied a discourse for 10th Shevat, the Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak and the beginning of the leadership of his son-in-law and successor, the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe. This discourse was said in 1952, and it focuses on the second chapter of the original discourse taught by Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak. Shiur in 2 parts by Tali Loewenthal in the Maamar by the Lubavitcher Rebbe 'Ani Ledodi' said in 5732 (1972). The Shiur was given in September 2009. The text is in Torat Menachem Sefer HaMaamarim Melukat, month of Elulp.223, or in the earlier edition of Sefer HaMaamarim Melukat,vol.3 p.263. The discourse contrasts the well-known severe aspect of spiritual preparation for Rosh Hashana - expressing awe of the Divine - with a more joyous aspect, described in Chassidic teachings, expressing love.
