Dayan Leivi Yitzhak Raskin gave a talk to Neshei Chabad of London in May 2009 on a commentary by Rabbi Obadia Bartenura (the famous Mishnah commentator) on the Book of Ruth. This has an interesting discussion of the theme of the Messiah, which is explored in terms of the historical context of the time when the commentary was written.
